New extended warranty for all HIAB cranes

At the IAA trade show in Hanover, besides launching and presenting new models of HIAB hydraulic cranes, HIAB proudly announced an extended warranty for all types of HIAB cranes. This extended warranty applies to all HIAB cranes delivered after October 1, 2016. HIAB also offers its customers a 5-year warranty on all structural elements and a 2-year warranty on all components of the HIAB crane.

WARRANTY POLICY

Two (2) years of warranty

On all components, including paint, seals (external and internal), and hydraulic hoses, HIAB provides an extended warranty valid until the 2-year warranty expires or the stated number of cycles is reached:

40,000 crane cycles in S0, or
50,000 crane cycles in S1, or
100,000 crane cycles in S2, or
150,000 cycles in S3 and S4,

Valid until the warranty expires or the number of cycles is reached.

Parts subject to wear and tear are not covered by the warranty: ropes, return hydraulic filter elements, accumulators, slide pads, decals, levers, plastic protection, and other consumable materials.

Five (5) years of warranty

The HIAB structure (crane frame), crane base, crane column, 1st boom, 2nd boom, hydraulic extensions, JIB, three-point bridge, stabilizers, and stabilizer legs are covered by a 5-year warranty or a maximum of:

40,000 crane cycles in S0, or
50,000 crane cycles in S1, or
100,000 crane cycles in S2, or
150,000 crane cycles in S3 and S4,

Valid until the warranty expires or the number of cycles is reached (excluding the number of operating hours for years 3, 4, and 5).

The stress impact during crane operation differs by crane type according to the EN13001 regulation and is specified in the operating and maintenance manual for HIAB hydraulic cranes. For cranes without a cycle counter, these assemblies and components are covered by a 36-month warranty.

The warranty covers labor-hour costs as well as other material costs.
