The Optimal 2500 is the largest machine in the Optimal program and the only one with five concave blades. The first OPTIMAL 2500 was introduced in 1974, when it was the largest tree transplanting machine in the world.

It mounts on a large loader or as truck-mounted equipment on a 6×6 truck, which transports the tree horizontally, root ball first.
