The 295/154 double pump has two separate stages, 52 and 26 cm3 per revolution, and is self-priming – it does not require auxiliary feed pressure.

The direction of rotation is variable, so the same pump can be fitted to a left or right driveshaft connection. This is the difference from the 295/54 type.
