Solenoid coil
Solenoid coil of a hydraulic valve. Converts the electrical signal into movement of the valve spool.
The coil is the link between electrics and hydraulics — when it receives voltage, its magnetic field moves the valve spool. Without it, no electrical command reaches the hydraulics.
A burned-out coil causes a complete loss of one command function, while the others work normally. It is a common and relatively inexpensive fault that is easy to replace.
Features and application
- Converts the electrical signal into valve spool movement
- Link between the electrical and hydraulic systems
- Failure shows up as the loss of a single function
- Replacement without disassembling the hydraulic assembly
