The NOOTEBOOM Mega Windmill Trailer (MWT) is a solution for transporting tower sections and turbine units of large wind turbines. Instead of a conventional deck, the load is clamped between two hydraulically adjustable lifting adapters, creating a light and compact combination that uses the entire available clearance height.

The adapters lift the load more than 1,5 m above the road to clear obstacles, and loading and unloading take place without a crane. Thanks to multiple articulation points, the load rotates up to 80 degrees relative to the vehicles, which eases sharp bends and roundabouts. The complete 11-axle combination has a tare weight of about 35 t.
